Our Mission

The Cherry Hill Montessori School is dedicated to providing an early childhood education to children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years of age based on the principles and values of the Montessori methods.  Our certified Montessori teachers and stimulating academic environment seek to nurture the individual child’s innate abilities and unique motivations to develop lifelong learners who act independently and confidently, with self-discipline, responsibility, social awareness and compassion.

School History

Cherry Hill Montessori School’s roots go back to 1971 when the original Montessori School opened on Kings Highway in Cherry Hill. In 1983, the Cherry Hill Montessori School moved to our current location. A family-owned and operated Montessori School, we offer an educational alternative to daycare, with the flexibility and scheduling to accommodate the needs of our families.   Our classrooms are staffed by certified Montessori teachers and experienced assistants, many of whom have been with us for more than a decade.

Run by a local Cherry Hill Mom, Tina Nugent, the Cherry Hill Montessori School has deep roots in the local community. Having sent all 4 of her own children to Cherry Hill Montessori, Miss Tina and her family bought the school in 1994. After experiencing the impressive growth and development of her two oldest children as Montessori preschoolers, Miss Tina decided to give up her law practice and, without ever looking back, happily built the School into what it is today.

Campus and Location Information

Set on a picturesque acre, the Cherry Hill Montessori school includes two separate playground equipment areas, wooded picnic and learning area and an in-ground pool used during the Summer Day Camp.

Cherry Hill Montessori Learning Center students enjoy a 6,600 square foot building designed specifically for use as a Montessori school.  Our four sunshine-filled classrooms are complemented by two spacious playrooms that are stocked with carefully-selected recreation materials and activities.  A large nap room contains individually-assigned cots for our sleepy young children.

We are conveniently located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, approximately 1/2 mile east of Route 295, and 1/4 mile north of Route 70.
