Welcome back to a new school year! We have a very busy, fun-filled year planned.
It always seems so difficult getting back into the school routine with dates, deadlines, and schedules but somehow we make it work. While we as adults know how important schedules are, they become just as important, if not more so, to children attending school. Schedules provide the foundation to understanding concepts such as months in the year, days of the week, as well as an awareness of time. They are also the beginning lessons to sequencing: January is the first
month, Sunday is the first day, etc.
Children develop a sense of time when they are given a daily schedule to follow. For example, “9:00am I go to school” and “9:00pm I go to sleep.” Allowing children the opportunity to know and understand their schedules gives them a sense of pride and purpose. Please check out our schedule and share it with your child!
Enjoy every moment!
